The official Flattr plugin does everything great nowadays. There’s no need for a standalone plugin.
A stand-alone plugin for integration with the Flattr service for sharing cake on the internet. Designed to work with newer WordPress and PHP versions, with awareness of the current site/domain/blog/page/article/author.
FlattrButton is standalone and works as a single installed plugin. However, it can share variables with the original Flattr plugin (by flattr.com) such as default Flattr UID, language etc. Any option changes made are specifically for FlattrButton and won’t affect any other plugin.
FlattrButton is dual-licensed Affero GPL v3.0 and GPL v2.0 (which WordPress is). The source code is available by checkout from the WordPress Plugin SVN repository:
svn co http://svn.wp-plugins.org/flattrbutton-standalone
FlattrButton will not work correctly without an account on flattr.com. Having an account there means you can flattr me too.
What is it that you try to accomplish with the plugin over or better than the already existing plugin that is btw. NOT from flattr.com (anymore) but actively developed by me.
Michael Henke: Originally I simply wanted a separate Flattr widget and addition to posts. Currently I’m actually using the official Flattr on all sites except for my personal blog as it’s been improved greatly. (especially with combining the Flattr plugin with the widget plugin)
So as of now it’s merely a small hobby of mine and a reason to learn WordPress plugin development.
how to know flattr id?
not flattr id but flattr UID?
Hi LPIC.lt, the Javascript API for Flattr mentions that you can use either the UID number or your login username.
I.e, I personally could use either ’940′ or ‘MMN-o’.
If you’re going to install a Flattr-plugin, I’d currently recommend the one Michael Henke is developing. It’s simply called ‘Flattr’ and will fill all your needs when it comes to putting a button on your blog.
when i write down my login, it does not saves it…
thanks for your help. i just followed FULLY instructions and i got a success on Flattr plugin.
Great! Enjoy Flattr.
